Looking for something literary to do in Nashville? You’re in luck. The Bulletin Board at 2nd & Church is updated with dozens of things to do over the next few months. Plenty of poetry readings and author events at most of the area bookshops, including Parnassus Books, East Side Story books, and Barnes & Noble Vanderbilt and Cool Springs locations; SHAKESPEARE Allowed! at the Nashville Public Library; the Complete Works of Shakespeare; poetry and prose at Poet’s Corner at Scarritt-Bennett, at the Gertrude Vanderbilt and Harold S. Vanderbilt Visiting Writers Series, and at the Lipscomb University's Landiss Lecture Series; And East Side Storytellin’ is on fire this season! Check out Literary Libations for fellowship and networking. Don’t feel like going out? Plenty of literary radio shows, and remember to catch NPT’s A Word on Words every Sunday morning. And Bowling Green isn’t far from Nashville. Consider attending the the Kentucky Writers Conference and the 2014 Southern Kentucky Book Fest. And starting on July 22, the University of the South will host the 25th session of the Sewanee Writers’ Conference.
